Ogres from the North... Part 2

I have many ideas from the army, conversion ideas, paint schemes ect.

The idea is to have three main blocks:
Khrone Ironguts with the Khorne Tyrant (i was lucky enough to get a Warhammer forge Chaos Ogre from GD 2010).
Slaanesh Bulls with Slaanesh BSB Bruiser (converted).
Nurgle Bulls with Nurgle Butcher (forgeworld Ogryn).
My Firebelly will then be Tzeentch, on a disc of Tzeentch (Arabyian Carpet)

I did a test Irongut, going with a slight purple skin colour in the recess. The bases is cork tiling with some thick snow. The clock is made from plasticard (heated to create the form). Green stuffed fur and armour.

Ogres of the North...

Many stories are heard about the 'Ogres of the North', each race around the North wastes have their own stories to tell from the smallest of Goblins to the mightiest of Chaos Champions. It is heard that they used to fight alongside The Empire, mechanaries, 'defending' againsts the Orc hordes and the threats of Chaos to the East of the Empire. But they Were a different tribe back then, a different Tyrant.
It was during a Chaos raid from the marauders of the North when the ogres fought alongside with a small force from Ostermark. The force was ambushed by a Chaos horde. The battle left only a few empire survivers, only several were keen to tell their tales of what had happened.
It was thought that the mechenary ogres had all deceased during the fighting or fled after seeing the losing battle, realising there was not much chance and dead humans don't pay.
These were all tales, stories, which for the Empire state troops kept them at ease. This was thought to later be confirmed with the corpse of the Ogre Tyrant found close to the battle field in a mangled state. The cuts were not from Chaos weaponry, for the wounds and cuts on the body were from large, blunt blades which the stongest of Chaos warriors could lift.

The Ogres had not been killed or fled, but instead something had drawn them to join the chaos marauders, and head North... for they had been chosen.

Pirate Army (aka Empirates) Part 2

This is my faviourite model so far, the cannon. I have converted it into the Pirate style so it is easier to move around the deck. The best bit about the conversion is I have all the bits (apart from crew) to make the morta! It isn't fully complete as I have to just attach the cannon to barrel down.

I picked up a copy of Island of Blood on the release day (from my Local GW :D ). This will (hopefully) be my log of the progress untill I have the whole box set completed.

I have decided to go with slightly complex bases using water effect to give the sense that the battle is taking place in a caved/rockey area. I hollowed out the bases and then refilled them with Miliput. The meant I had a pool in which I could pore the water effect. I also used slat to create the flat surafaces for the figures to stand.

I stated with the larger models such as teh rat ogres and the Griffon as these (in theory) are easier to do as they have larger bases. (the ranked units will be fun!)

I shall get onto army colour schemes when I get there but I already have a good idea of what I will do.

Hey guys,
I bought the forge world halftrakk so i could use the trakks for a gw battlewagon.

I added the fw trakk with plasticard.I then made the supa kannon and magnetized it to the base.

Once i had decided where to put the trakks I lowered the GW ones so it would be level.

OK, after a busy week I did some work on the BW.

Started on the deffrolla

The arms are then magnetized onto the side of the landraider.

I also got to work on putting panels on the other side of the Bw and also having panels which give a bit of protection to the boys on the top.

Added the two big shootaz to the turret and then two more bigshootaz on each side (see first pic)

in another note my forge world stuff arived (this won't be used on this looted landraider bw but on another GW one, but that will be another thread)

done some more work.
done some work on the cabin getring it the right size . I then added a light and a plow wth some big metal jaws on:

I added the smoke stacks/exhausts onto the back. added some chain to add some character. the pannel off the back is where are grot will probably stand.

I have been working on the floor, adding some scrap metal (minus rivets)

and then a dead beakie to go on the plow at the front (tired on as a trophy)

Land Raider to Battle wagon Part 1

hey guys, i picked up a landraider the other day which i am going to convert into a BW (badmoon). the BW will carry 10 burna boys and a Mek with KFF. Therefore i shall be painting flames and having become the 'mek' BW with gubbinz and bitz everywhere. (there will be a total of 3 BW's in my army).

So I started with the tracks and as it is 'looted' and orky i went with a bit of battledamage which the grotz had then repaired.

I then added a floor pannel where the krew will be (will be detailed later). I will leave some space for a big gun ( probably a forge world one).
(excuse the elastic bands holding it together)

here a quick sketch of what i would like to do.

I am planning to have a cabin that is at the front of the tank. this will then have a deffrolla coming off it. I got the front piece of the Landraider and it worked pretty well. I then got the turret from the stompa kit that is meant to go on his right shoulder and it fit perfectly into the gab.

I then made some big orky exhausts which will stick out the back.
well thats it for now more to come.

This is my warboss made from a deffkopta. I cut the blades, skies, rokkits and the body. Once this was done I started to make it into a bike by adding trukk wheels such as the two back wheels making it into a trike. The body is a nob body. I then made a coat from green stuff. He has two left arms one with a powerklaw (from a killa kan) and a big choppa. I then added a squig from the nob set. The grot hanging on the pole is from the stompa.

This is my second attempt at NMM, I entered him into a painting contest at my local Games workshop and came 1st place. this is the first nob biker with some conversion work such as his big choppa has had one of his hands removed from and also a tire change.

this is a stormgrot which is 'ment' to go in a stormboyz back but looks nice on his own base with his own rocket (i also added a mine in his left hand)

I have now completed my Lotaz and there are two photos above. I will be puting more images of my models up.

I enjoyed painting them as they are so fun to paint and have so much detail such as buttons, pipes and plates. I enjoyed painting the chiped red paint on the plate and also included some white areas like i did on my mega armoured warboss.
